It’s so simple that it makes it so complex. Somehow we always try to make God’s principles & commands more difficult than they are. We try to make this life more difficult than it needs to be.

    When we make God our ultimate delight, our hearts are in sync with Him. Of course He will give us what our hearts’ desire  . . . because our hearts’ desire exactly what He wants. It’s not rocket science. It’s death.

       Dying to ourselves and what we want and yielding to Christ and what He wants.

         But when we do that . . . when we do that not just in word but in deed ---- as my pastor often says, “When we put feet to our faith,” then God opens up the doors in our lives to give us what we truly need. What we truly desire. What a world of advertisements, materialism & ambition didn’t train us to desire ~~~ but what, when examined, is more satisfying than anything we previously could desire.
