pokot Girls
“I was sitting with my wife when I got your message,” said Musa. “We were just talking about how our daughter, Chepkemsi, was going to feel when she found out that the 3 other girls were able to go to boarding school and she would have to remain behind.” Musa & his wife put the issue before God and within moments they got my message telling them that sweet Chepkemsi had also gotten a sponsor. Now all of the girls could go to school.                  God is kind, and faithful.
Musa’s daughters live in a very tribal region of East Pokot. Circumcision is still commonly practiced on teen girls. Teen girls are also, for the most part, forced to marry before they turn 16. But Musa has different hopes for his daughters. Musa, a tribal Pokot himself, has benefited greatly in his life thanks to a small school started by a missionary in his area some thirty years ago. Because he was able to go to school, Musa has since gone on to become a Chaplain in the Kenyan Government. He has traveled to America to receive training. And he has sought to spread the Gospel in his unreached Pokot region - being not only instrumental in peace talks between the Pokot and Samburu but also in leading evangelists over the past three years to expose over 10,000 people to the Gospel in his region alone.
Musa sees the value of education and desires the same opportunities for his daughters.
I can’t thank God enough for providing sponsors for all 4 of Musa’s school-aged daughters.
Delight in God with me in celebrating the culture of the Chesupar family through the photos on this page.

Musa & his sister
Pictured above is Musa’s sister. To the right is Musa with his wife and six daughters. Currently, there is no quality school in their region of East Pokot so his daughters must go away to boarding school. we are praying and asking god to bring us investors and well-wishers who will contribute to the building & forming of a primary school in the region where Musa lives with his family. All of the photos on this page were taken in that region. Our hope, along with the pokot, is to provide an opportunity for a healthy education for pokot girls & boys without the necessity of leaving their culture in order to obtain it.
We appreciate your prayers with us toward this goal.
