the Salon
I took Tayte to the salon today. Bry opted for the home treatment. Bry regrets having opted for the home treatment. Good thing her hair grows quickly. sorry, Bry.
 
    Tayte got a make-over from Kenyan Girl to American Girl. And in the meantime, got to hear all the latest Salon chit-chat. She said it was interesting. An old, old, old man told her all about some missiles and things from wars of the past. He had a tattoo & deep-set Irish eyes.
     Then there was a mom in there, she said, that couldn’t figure out how to raise her teen. She said she kept lamenting on how difficult teens are and that she couldn’t understand how come her son won’t tell her where he’s going now that he’s got his license.
           Needless to say, to Tayte - who grew up in Kenya where teens often carry the responsibility for an entire home orphaned by AIDS . . . she couldn’t understand it either.
