random thought: It’s Africa. Summer. December. Hot. Sunny. Dusty. All that.
And the 2 babes I held in my arms today in this photo . . . well, could you tell THAT by the looks of them? They’re both in stocking hats and sweaters and blankets:). It’s one of the cutest things that I adore about Africa. I have NO idea if the need to do so is physiological, cultural or what: But babies get BUNDLED here! BUNDLED! And if the temperature dares to dip toward mid-60s . . . watch out! People of ALL ages will be walking around in ski caps, winter coats and even mittens. Not kidding. Not a bit. It makes me smile.
But that’s not what I’m blogging about. That was just random. I didn’t even notice it until I posted the photo and then saw that both babes have their hats on. The babes are adorable, by the way.
The one in pink is my namesake: Heather (pronounced in Kenyan-English as “Heethah.” And the one in blue is Brian’s namesake: Brian (pronounced in Kenyan-English as “BriON.” Too cool. We got a group together today for the new students at Legacy because we were registering today for next year and doing some preliminary testing, shopping for clothes - stuff like that. And so the babes came with their moms since their siblings are registering to start Legacy in January. I couldn’t resist snapping a photo, or two . . .okay, or twelve. They are precious.
We called the photos of the 4 of us together:

> GO HERE for a video-blog of the Turkana Churchplants. Baby Brian is the 7th child of Pastor James Lotere & his wife, Rose. Lotere pastors the 1st churchplant and they are both in the video. Amazing people. Truly, truly wonderful. We love them and are grateful to get to work with them.
