It just seems misleading that the manufacturer call it “bee-pollen skin cream”. At least, that brand is free of parabens and added fragrances, the two most common causes of allergic reactions related to skincare products.

When it comes to dietary supplements, they should also be free of artificial preservatives and toxins. The basic rule of thumb whether you are buying bee pollen lotion or a supplement is to look at the label of ingredients. Don’t take the manufacturer’s word for it.

Terms like “natural” have no legal definition in the US or in most other countries. Consumer groups would like to have the terms legally defined, but the groups have small voices when compared to those of food and supplement manufacturers.
